GENERAL SUMMARY The account executive serves as the key primary contact between the organizations and The Joint Commission. The account executive develops and manages the important relationship with organizations, coordinates survey planning, and handles policy, procedure, and accreditation/certification issues and services. The account executive acts as the key resource for inquiries throughout the accreditation/certification cycle in addition to providing coaching and education to the organizations. The account executive will process applications, set agendas, and processes reports including on-site survey event reports, and follow-up reports including evidence of standards compliance (ESC) and measure of success (MOS) reports. The account executive will work with a lead account executive regarding policy determinations relative to the inclusion of services and the scope of survey, application of cooperative agreements, ownership changes, and the extension survey policy requirement. The account executive acquires a basic knowledge of the Joint Commission standards. This is a Continuous Service Readiness (CSR) Consultant position.  We are seeking candidates located in Tennessee and will be expected to travel and support  other nearby states to provide on-site consultation, education, and technical assistance to hospitals and health care systems to assist in improving patient care, quality, and safety. Ten or more years of experience in health care, with seven to ten years of progressively more responsible experience in senior health care management or quality/performance improvement. Maintains current and relevant knowledge of health care issues and strategies. Experience in a health care consulting role is highly desirable. Preferred candidates have performance improvement experience in settings over 250 beds and/or those with strong standards knowledge in applicable Joint Commission program. Excellent communication skills as exhibited through professional involvement in leadership roles, teaching, consulting, or relevant publications. Written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively present information and ideas in proposals, reports, and presentations. 100% travel required.

General Summary: This position supports the Joint Commission’s Center for Transforming Healthcare (CTH) activities associated with establishing and sustaining a robust process improvement (RPI) culture. The Black Belt  will lead strategic projects for the Joint Commission’s Center for Transforming Healthcare (CTH) and mentor Belts. The Black Belt will learn and then enable others in adapting Lean Six Sigma, change management, and other performance improvement methodologies to drive results. The Black Belt will support the Executive Director and Master Black Belt in the development and implementation of a quality improvement training program for external customers, which includes training Belts and others in problem solving. The Black Belt provides expert advice to process improvement teams regarding team dynamics, change management, process re-design strategies, performance improvement toolsets (especially those of Lean Six Sigma), and technical expertise, such as statistical process control and flow, pull and data analysis. The Black Belt will coach  process improvement teams and also provide guidance to process teams in the external health care community, as a part of the Joint Commission’s Center for Transforming Healthcare (CTH) strategy to employ Lean Six Sigma tools to improve the quality and safety of patient care. The Black Belt will present for The Center for Transforming Healthcare (CTH) presentations and assist in CTH publications. The Black Belt will also be a faculty for RPI as a Product.
