GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manages the Office of Quality & Patient Safety, which includes all activities associated with the Joint Commission’s review and response to patient safety complaints and sentinel events and its activities surrounding the management and sharing of data and information regarding such events. The Health Care Federal Relations and Public Policy intern works primarily with the Joint Commission Government Relations office in Washington, DC. The intern will assist the DC office staff with specific projects related to national health care policies, health care legislation, and Joint Commission’s advocacy agenda. The intern may be based remotely, but preference is for candidates with the ability to attend office and in-person events in the Washington, D.C. area.
The Health Care Federal Relations and Public Policy internship offers students the opportunity to build and strengthen skills particularly in research, analysis, and writing.
