The Disease Specific Care Reviewer-Ortho is responsible to review the following certification programs-Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Spine, Total Shoulder Replacement, Total Ankle Replacement, Hip Fracture and the Advanced Total Joint Replacement Program. Reviewers are expected to be knowledgeable regarding best practice in Orthopedics and provide our partner organizations with reviews that are educational and inspirational. The goal of certification is to ensure that patients are provided evidence-based orthopedic care and that the program continually monitors its performance of that care. 

Provides excellent on-site high reliability and robust process improvement consultation, education, and technical assistance to domestic/international health care facilities and health care systems to assist in improving patient care, quality, and safety. Collaborates with colleagues to generate leads, develop proposals, and pursue to close the sale of high reliability engagements and other JCR and/or JCI services. Maintains active/current knowledge of health care trends, develops content, as well as established solutions for the improvement of patient care. Serves as JCR subject matter expert for high reliability product line. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Team Lead for Standards Interpretation Group will assist the Senior Director of Standards Interpretation and Senior Associate Director of Standards Interpretation Group in the support of daily operations for the department.  In addition to performing daily operations tasks of Associate Directors, they will be responsible for leading small projects within the department.  They will address mild to moderate concerns involving internal and external customers. In addition, they will provide interpretation of all Joint Commission standards with special emphasis on standards issues related to specific settings, professional disciplines, or accreditation programs. Combines systems analysis skills with in-depth general and program-specific knowledge to evaluate health care organizations’ compliance and ability to provide high quality, safe patient care. Participates as a consultant in the development and revision of standards and survey process. Participates in ongoing accreditation services and special projects. Serves as faculty for surveyor and other education programs and represents the Joint Commission as liaison to various professional organizations. In conjunction with operations team, ensures that accredited organizations receive excellent customer service and that their accreditation needs are met.

Assist the Executive Director and Director in managing the strategic development, growth and retention, and day-to-day operations of the activities related to the assigned sales team for accreditation and/or certification programs.  Responsible for sales and account management within an assigned territory and for a specified Customer List.  Identify and assist new and existing customers in the decision process to pursue accreditation or certification.  Serve as the lead business manager and administrator for the Department’s contact management/customer relationship management database as assigned.    INDMP  #LI-Remote

The Health Care Federal Relations and Public Policy intern works primarily with the Joint Commission Government Relations office in Washington, DC. The intern will assist the DC office staff with specific projects related to national health care policies, health care legislation, and Joint Commission’s advocacy agenda. Interns will be expected to attend office and in-person events in the Washington, D.C. area.   The Health Care Federal Relations and Public Policy internship offers students the opportunity to build and strengthen skills particularly in research, analysis, and writing.
