Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented International Tax & Compliance Manager with a strong background in either Big 4 public accounting or in-house tax management at a multinational corporation (MNC). This role will be responsible for managing and executing global tax compliance processes, ensuring the company meets its international tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, and supporting broader tax reporting and strategic initiatives. 

Responsibilities

  • Research, plan, and execute expansion strategies for assigned expansion countries including entity type selection and tax implications thereof, and the sourcing and management of local business solution partner services to minimize administrative burdens to the enterprise balanced with internal resources.
  • Lead and manage the international tax compliance process across multiple countries, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and other local tax filings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Support quarterly and annual tax reporting, including global tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and tax disclosures under IFRS/US GAAP.
  • Monitor developments in global tax legislation, including BEPS, Pillar 2, and local law changes, and assess business impact.
  • Assist in managing tax audits, inquiries, and disputes in various jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with transfer pricing teams to ensure alignment with local and global requirements, including documentation and intercompany transactions.
  • Drive improvements and streamline compliance processes, leveraging technology and automation tools where appropriate.
  • Partner with finance, legal, and business teams on international projects, including expansion, restructuring, and acquisitions.
  • Mentor and support junior team members or outsourced compliance support.
  • Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed within the Controller department within Planning and Financial Affairs.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree, (Master’s preferred) in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant international tax experience gained from:
    • A Big 4 accounting firm, focusing on corporate and international tax compliance, or
    • A multinational corporate tax department, handling cross-border tax reporting and compliance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of international tax laws, including OECD guidelines and local tax regimes.
  • Hands-on experience with tax compliance software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a global business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with global tax reporting tools and process automation.
  • Exposure to tax provision software and tax reporting under IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Experience supporting tax aspects of international business operations, M&A, or restructurings.
  • Experience in Workday and Adaptive Planner are pluses.
