We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, with a focus on onboarding, orientation setup, and assisting with new employee orientation.  This is an opportunity to work with a leading, non-profit organization in the health care industry. Mentorship and professional development opportunities.

 

This is a hybrid, paid internship requiring 20 hours per week. Interns are expected to work in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and days when there are internship activites scheduled.

Responsibilities

 

  • Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.  Assist with our internship program and activities.
  • Orientation Setup: Help set up and organize orientation sessions, including scheduling, preparing materials, and coordinating logistics.
  • New Employee Orientation: Support the HR team in conducting new employee orientation sessions, providing information on company policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation related to onboarding and orientation.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.  Learn and utilize Microsoft Power Automate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
