Overview

Summary Statement:

This role is responsible for the development and execution of an innovative market driven international software strategy, including the portfolio of software product offerings within it, to drive sales and revenue for Joint Commission International.   As the leader of the international product software strategy, they will also be responsible for creating and overseeing product vision, product roadmap development, business plans for new and existing technology & service offerings to align with his/her vision.

 This position is fully remote until travel restrictions are lifted.

Responsibilities

Position Accountabilities:

  • Uses excellent leadership, people, communication, and product management skills to develop an innovative product strategy focused on business-value. Drives the successful product launch to the market. Influences effective and efficient teamwork among its stakeholders like product development. Helps solve critical problems and removes business obstacles.
  • Develops competitive product strategy, market positioning, value proposition, and core product capabilities. Solicits market insight to manage the high-le, release prioritization, and collaborating with customers as well as JCI stakeholders like sales and marketing, JCI accreditation, consulting and JCI regional offices.  The individual has experience with the software product life cycle and agile development and can articulate product status and roadmap to senior leadership. As the business grows, this role will be building and leading a high functioning team vel product feature and function set, and product release priorities.
  • Brings new software technology solutions to market by analyzing customer problems, market opportunities, competitive threats, performance KPIs; preparing return-on-investment analysis; and establishing schedules with business analysis and technical development.
  • Provides regular executive reports and updates to senior leadership teams about the product status and product direction.
  • Develops product presentations and sales pitch, in partnership with marketing team.
  • Assists JCI sales team in large client sales process by developing proposals, SOWs, articulating product value, doing product demos, managing contract process with legal and IT security. Responds to customer inquiries regarding product functions, overall services, or pricing.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the JCI product to competitors. Also assesses product market data by following sales/training meetings, evaluating sales call results, product training results as well product utilization results.
  • Develops go-to-market channels and key business partnerships to drive product sales.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Note: minimum requirements)

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science, and/or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of product management, product design, and/or engineering, plus experience in managing multiple software offerings and commercial software products. Experience in product revenue, go-to-market strategy and delivering high product adoption.
  • Technical background with an understanding of software development principles.
  • Prior experience building user-facing products, starting from conception through development, release and iteration.
  • Strong understanding of product life cycle, value propositions, market trend, market levers, market competition, pricing, return on investment, cost benefit analysis and solution definition.
  • Experience in working with large health care customers, making executive level presentations and product demonstrations. International healthcare market experience is preferred.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Possess and exercise superior presentation skills.
  • Product marketing experience is preferred.
  • Works independently under minimal supervision and according to established procedures and policies.
  • Experience in building and leading teams.
  • High energy, strong work ethics, quick learner and team player.
  • 15%-20% travel outside of U.S.
