  • Overview




    Plans, develops, implements, evaluates and improves Division of Accreditation and Certification Operations field representative education programs and products offered using instructional technology. 

    1. Establishes distance education strategies for field representatives and central office staff.
    2. Serves as the principle administrator for the Joint Commission Learning Management System, with responsibility for access control, module production, module deployment, tracking and reporting, site security, performance, and maintenance, enhancements, and user support.
    3. Coordinates the technical aspects of administering online surveys and assessments, with responsibility for access control, tracking and reporting, site security, performance, and maintenance, enhancements, and user support.
    4. Coordinates technology use, including videoconferencing logistics, for New Field Representative Onboarding offerings and other training events.
    5. Uses instructional technology, including graphics, audio, and video equipment and software, and authorware, to produce media elements for educational modules, conferences, meetings, and informational purposes.
    6. Serves as the editor of The Field Representative Newsletter and distributes the newsletter.
    7. Manages the use, maintenance, and security of instructional technology.
    8. Participates in budgeting, monitors ongoing budget performance, and explores approaches to minimize cost.
    9. Participates on field representative committees and task forces representing the Department of Field Representative Development and Education and in the development of educational programs and products.
    10. Completes assignments on schedule, accurately and within budget.



    1. Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, learning systems design, instructional design, education, or a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. 
    2. Three or more years experience with the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of computer-based training. 
    3. Experience with multimedia development, including graphics, video and audio production and multimedia authoring. 
    4. Experience in web authoring. 
    5. High degree of professionalism.

    8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
