The QA manager will oversee the JCR Electronic Product QA team, and lead the team to achieve high quality software release. The QA Manager partners with other leaders from the Business Analysts team and Software Development team to identify the most important issues in software products prior to production launch.  The position will be responsible for leading testing efforts to deliver high quality software products to customers by understanding product strategy, customer needs, executing test cases and supporting product development and deployment.  Leads the testing phase of the product development life-cycle and is responsible for testing, implementing and communication of issues with internal stakeholders. The position will also lead the SWAT team that handles the production support issues. 



  1. Manages day to day QA activities and manages the QA team at onsite and offshore.
  2. Leads the SWAT team to identify the priority issues reported on a daily basis and leads the change control meetings.
  3. Leads the planning, creation, and execution of detailed test cases for web-based and mobile user interfaces and workflows. Leads and manages the creation of test cases to support new enhancements of existing software products utilizing analytical and technical skills.
  4. Clearly communicates issue to agile teams in a timely manner in support of planned product releases.
  5. Conducts root cause analysis of problems and identifies, analyzes, documents, and helps facilitate the correction of defects in the software at any point in the product life-cycle.
  6. Works with agile team to analyze gaps between current product and the desired state, evaluating and implementing improvements to software products. Assists with project planning, tracking, status reporting; issue management / escalation / resolution and change control.
  7. Initiates, creates, and maintains the regression plan for all Electronic Products. High risk regression test cases for supported browsers is maintained as new enhancements are added to software products.
  8. Initiates, creates, and maintains load and stress tests for Electronic Products in support of performance requirements.
  9. Leads the planning and execution of system testing with the agile team. Ensures the product fulfills the business requirements.
  10. Works with the agile team to support product launch and rollout activities. Conducts internal communication of planned QA activities and reports status to internal teams.
  11. Contributes to the establishment of, and compliance with the software development methodology, standards, procedures, practices and goals.




  1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems, Business or equivalent. Master’s Degree (MIS or MBA) preferred.
  2. 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in a software product development environment preferably for healthcare industry and 3+ years of managing a QA team. Agile Certified Practitioner preferred.
  3. Demonstrated strength in system testing and test case development; experience with commercial software product development for Healthcare standard, compliance and regulatory market preferred. 
  4. Demonstrated strength in leading quality projects. Able to estimate duration and identify tasks needed to complete projects. Experience communicating status and managing task status.
  5. Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology. Requires experience with test case development, web interface testing, data modeling, reporting and technical architecture.
  6. Ability to understand concepts governing relational database structures, use reporting/query tools, and construct SQL statements.

  7. Exhibits strong problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent influencing and consultative skills, including the ability to get results through others without having direct reports. Uses business knowledge and technical expertise to identify and analyze problems and assess potential issues to improve products in a timely manner.
  8. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group such as managers, customer support, and subject matter experts.
  9. Works independently under minimal supervision and according to established procedures and policies.
  10. High energy, strong work ethics, quick learner and team player
