The Associate Director, Digital Marketing, serves as the strategic Systems owner of the Web Content Management platform across the enterprise. He / She plays two primary roles: 1) manage the roadmap for development of website capabilities deployed through Sitecore, Coveo, and FuseIT platforms, and other relevant platforms across The Joint Commission, Joint Commission Resources, Joint Commission International, and the Center for Transforming Healthcare and 2) ensure that activity across all digital platforms, including but not limited to websites and social media, supports the Enterprise’s strategic missions and commercial goals.


  • Own and manage the Sitecore platform for the Enterprise.
  • Key member of Digital Enterprise Governance Committee: Participate in Enterprise governance committee as the owner of Sitecore platform that support the Enterprise digital marketing strategy, define maintenance and improvement for Sitecore platform and implementation of strategic and operational digital marketing initiatives executed through Sitecore.
  • Planning: In partnership with the Director Enterprise Digital marketing, be responsible for developing, communicating, evangelizing to Executive Leadership and implementing a multi-year Sitecore platform roadmap by working with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment to organizational goals.
  • Vendor Management: Responsible for managing day to day activities with all vendors hired to support Sitecore platform and systems infrastructure, properties and activities. 
  • Content: As owner of Sitecore platform, participate in defining and implementing digital marketing content policies, roles and responsibilities for the creation, review, approval, publish, archival, and retirement of website content. 
  • Policy: Establish, define and ensure compliance with Sitecore policies and procedures and participate with all digital marketing policies and procedures for connectivity between Enterprise and external websites. 
  • Commercial: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the use of Sitecore platform to: 
    • Support business development, grow e-commerce capabilities.
    • Maintain product branding, customer engagement.
    • Participates in the development of underlying metrics and reports related to the effectiveness of digital marketing systems 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director, Enterprise Digital Marketing. 



  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic category and minimum five years of experience managing web content management systems and supporting daily operations and development of public websites. 
  • Working knowledge of Internet and electronic marketing technology and practices including:

    • Preferred knowledge with:
      1. Sitecore Web Content Management 8.0 or higher,
      2. Coveo Search Application,
      3. FuseIT Application,
      4. Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager – Web site statistics
      5. Integration of social media channels
      6. A/B and Multivariate Testing within a web content management system


    • Additional knowledge and systems experience:
      1. Microsoft SharePoint
      2. Microsoft Office Suite Professional, focus on Word, Excel, PowerPoint
      3. HTML
      4. Lyris List Manager
      5. Adobe Photoshop & Acrobat Professional
      6. SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics (Survey software)
      7. Smart Audio Converter Pro (Podcast software)
      8. Movavi Video Suite 7 (Video software)
  •  Experience with Agile Development methodology and the systems to support agile development.
  • Well-grounded understanding of web development tools; basic web development skills; familiarity with use of content management systems (Sitecore preferred).
  • Involvement and experience with managing Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production website environments; including automated Test Scripts
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities. Experience communicating with both IT and Marketing departments
  • Excellent understanding of the role played by web and social media.
  • Understanding of web design, architecture and usability.
  • Demonstrated creativity and interpersonal skills for interacting with many constituencies.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan and coordinate multiple complex programs.
