Overview

We are looking for a Chief Nursing Officer & Executive Vice President ("EVP") Customer Relations to join our senior leadership team who will focus on building and strengthening external customer and stakeholder relationships, primarily in the hospital/health system market across the Enterprise.  Using customer input and feedback, the chosen candidate will assist in guiding the Enterprise business development and retention strategies.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician with marketing and business development acumen, and will possess strong relationship building skills. The candidate must have the ability to effectively utilize and collaborate with TJC resources across the Enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer retention for hospital/health systems.
  • Customer relations/customer service recovery for hospitals/health systems.
  • Successfully re-recruit targeted hospitals.
  • Leads the Nursing Advisory Council and represents The Joint Commission in relationships with key external stakeholders across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

  1. Seasoned nurse leader, with CNO experience and a strong track record in a healthcare environment.
  2. Masters degree in management/business or equivalent management training and experience.
  3. Senior leadership experience in a large healthcare organization, demonstrating an understanding of the continuum of healthcare and the contemporary models of quality improvement.
  4. Ability to understand and effectively help position The Joint Commission in a competitive environment.
  5. Ability to synthesize multiple points of view and accurately represent the views of both customers and stakeholders.
  6. Knowledge of The Joint Commission accreditation standards and process.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively across the Enterprise.
  8. Excellent marketing and business development acumen.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  10. Over 60% travel required.
